On Ukraine’s Unity Day, EdCamp Ukraine Became a Guest of the Responsibility Award by the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation. We were one of 212 organizations that shared their stories of responsible partnership. 67 made it to the longlist of the award.

10 finalists were selected, among them the POVIR educational online platform in the category “National Partnership Project.”

This recognition belongs to everyone involved in developing, piloting, and using the platform: the state, partner organizations, educators, SEL methodologists, newly established satellite schools, and schools that will expand POVIR within their communities. But most importantly, it belongs to the students who have embraced the challenge in their own learning. Only through close collaboration like this can we overcome educational losses and gaps.

We sincerely thank the organizers for their trust and support. It is incredibly valuable to be among like-minded individuals and work side by side.

The Responsibility Award was established in 2021 to honor civil society organizations that base their daily activities on the values outlined in Bohdan Hawrylyshyn’s Declaration of Human Responsibility.

This year, the award recognized civil society organizations that, during the full-scale war, are strengthening Ukraine through their cooperation and demonstrate responsibility at various levels.

We warmly congratulate the Kolo Charitable Foundation, which won in our category,”National Partnership Project,” for their vitally important “Mobile Evacuation” project. Your work has saved many lives among Ukraine’s defenders.

It was an inspiring and deeply moving evening, with an unforgettable atmosphere created by the folk band "Pyrig i Batih," featuring tracks from their album “Zamordovani” (The Martyred) – a collection of songs set to the wrords of Ukrainian poets murdered by Russia.

Let’s keep shining strong, shining with confidence, and lighting up the world.
